| Barisdale
Estate lies within Barisdale Bay along the south shores of Loch
Hourn on the Knoydart Peninsula with spectacular views of Beinn
Sgritheall (3195 ft) towering above Arnisdale to the north, the
majestic Ladhar Bheinn (3346 ft) to the west and out towards Skye as
well as Luinne Bheinn (3018 ft), with Meall Buidhe (3104 ft) tucked
in behind, standing proudly to the south.
Situated in
a mountainous and largely undisturbed wilderness, Barisdale provides
an excellent base for climbing munro's in the area as well as having
an abundance of wildlife and precious examples of rare flora and
fauna for vigilant visitors to see.
As a
popular spot for hikers of all ages, Barisdale offers an open bunkhouse and campsite or alternatively the more comfortable
accommodation of either The Stable or The Whitehouse.
Barisdale
can be accessed by footpath from Kinloch-Hourn (7 miles approx) or
from Inverie (10 miles approx). Alternatively an easier option would
be by boat charter which offers various pick up and drop off points

from the bothy and campsite.

visitors to respect the privacy of the people living and working in
the area and remind them that dogs are required to be kept on leads
at all times.Thank-you and we look forward to seeing you.
