Burghill Grange







	Harriet & John Gordon welcome you their family home, Burghill Grange. We are very fortunate to be the owners of this attractive early grade II listed Georgian House mentioned in the Royal commission for Historic Monuments. Although predominantly Georgian in character the house is a blend of various dates, the earliest section dating from the 17th Century with the last section being added in 2006.

	Within the grounds of Burghill Grange stands an early 18th Century Dovecote with many of the original features and a lovely large pond which has its own natural water source and hence attracts many animals and birds. We are in the process of redesigning the garden to bring it in keeping with the house.







	Over the last half century Burghill Grange has had several owners all adding their own tastes to the property and we have had the fun of uncovering beautiful elm floors, original honey coloured oak beams and some fine 18th century plaster relief ceilings. With the help of local craftsmen, we have sympathetically brought the house into the 21st century, highlighting and restoring some of the original architectural features.



	On arrival guests are more than welcome to join us in the kitchen for a cup of tea and homemade cake or use the Red Sitting Room to relax in peace in-front of a wood burning stove. In the summer we welcome you to make the most of the garden enjoy the wildlife on the pond and the various animals we might have collected at that time!







							We offer on the first floor the Blue Room – this is a spacious double room with en-suite bathroom with views over the terrace and garden leading to the pond.



	The top floor of Burghill Grange has examples of wonderful oak beams featuring in both rooms with elm and oak floors on the landings, bathroom & shower room. Both bedrooms are north facing with lovely views over the orchards and neighbouring farmland.

	The Green Room comprises of twin beds with a private landing leading to a bathroom featuring a free standing bath.





	The Pink Room comprises of double bed (can be twin and also has a small childs bed in the corner) with a private landing leading to a shower room.



	All the rooms have their own televisions, radios, tea/coffee facilities and we use beautifully soft Italian woven cotton sheets and pure wool blankets (duvets are available on request).

	We offer a full English or Continental breakfast, with homemade bread, jams and marmalade, delicious local sausages and bacon and, when possible, eggs from our own chickens

							We welcome children of all ages and have everything from Duplo to PingPong, Playstation, Trampoline and Swings (We do ask that you monitor your children at all times. Please be aware that the pond is unfenced)



	£90 per night based on 2 people sharing Single rate for the Pink or Green Room @ £55 per night Children @ £20 per night - (under 12 months free) We do not allow smoking with the house



	Situated on the edge of Burghill village, near to the church, we are only 4 miles from the centre of Hereford and within easy distance of Ledbury, Hay on Wye, Brecon Beacons, Leominster and Ludlow.
