| Harriet & John Gordon welcome you to Burghill Grange. We were very fortunate to become the owners of this attractive early Georgian house two years ago. It is a listed Grade II and mentioned in the Royal Commission for Historic Monuments. Although predominantly Georgian in character the house is a blend of various dates, the earliest section dating from the 17th century with the last wing being added in the 19th century. | |||||||
| Over the last half century
Burghill Grange has had several owners all adding their own tastes to the
property and we have had the fun of uncovering beautiful elm floors, original
honey coloured oak beams and some fine 18th century plaster relief ceilings.
With the help of local craftsmen, we have sympathetically brought the house
into the 21st century, highlighting and restoring some of the original architectural
features. |

We are nearing completion of our beautiful drawing room, which overlooks the back of the house and offers guests somewhere to relax on their arrival with a cup of tea and homemade cake, in front of a real fire.
